Research on space-time accessibility considering direction of travel.

Direction is a key factor of accessibility research. Therefore, this paper proposed a calculation method on space-time accessibility considering the direction of travel. First, it constructed an experiential hierarchy of road network using experiential taxi routes. Second, it used the Dijkstra algorithm based on hierarchical road network to compute the travel time between each OD, and then used a grid method and inverse distance weighting method to render the isochrones maps of Guangzhou CBD. Finally, the paper analyzed the accessibility of it in different direction of travel and different time periods. The experimental results prove that accessibility in different direction, especially in peak time, is quite different. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
