Abstract

The author discusses aspects of advanced glycation end products, diabetes, and dementia. It states that insulin signaling modifies tau phosphorylation in cells and amyloid precursor protein (APP) and in animal models suggest metabolic pathways on canonical pathways of Alzheimer's disease (AD). Furthermore, it notes that age increase the risk of AD.
