- Reports that Thomas S. Rogers, chief executive officer of Primedia, resigned over the company's plant to dismantle the business he was hired to build. Magazines published by Primedia including 'New York' and 'Seventeen'; Role of controlling investor, Kohlberg Kravis Roberts, in the plan to sell much if not all of Primedia; Divisions to be sold including consumer magazine group, the television group and it's business-to-business group; Reasons why Kohlberg Kravis would like to pare the business back to just hobbyist magazines like 'Guns & Ammo' and 'Truckin''; Economic indicators of Primedia's financial health.
