Abstract
- The authors discuss the possibility of prescribing medical cannabinoids for pain relief by physicians in Australia and New Zealand. They acknowledge the implementation of laws that prohibit possession and use of cannabis even for medical reasons in the regions, noting that there have been recommendations for its legalisation particularly for certain ailments. They also explore its common adverse effects and studies that suggest its effectiveness particularly for neuropathic pain.
