Abstract

Highlights: [•] RanBP9 overexpression decreases dendritic arbor in the cortex and hippocampus. [•] RanBP9 reduced spine density at 12 months of age but not at 6months. [•] Decreased spine density correlated well with the reduced levels of phospho-cofilin. [•] Reduced spine density provided the physical basis for the loss of synaptic proteins.
