Abstract
- The article discusses the link between the Roman Empire and Hautes-Pyrénées in southern France, which sits on the Rhône River, and is home to many Roman artifacts. Topics include the extraction, preservation, and exhibition of a barge that had sunk in the river, how the strong current and poor visibility of the Rhône River made the project difficult and dangerous, and how archaeologists Sabrina Marlier, David Djaoui, and Sandra Greek managed to complete the project by their 2013 deadline.
