- Reports that a second British laboratory has offered to conduct tests on 36-year-old human tissues in an attempt to resolve a conflict over the authenticity of the first supposed case of AIDS. Competing findings of two previous tests conducted by researchers from the University of Manchester in England and the New York team at the Aaron Diamond AIDS Research Center.
