Abstract

The article presents research on bat assemblages in the Atlantic forest of Chapada do Abanador in Minas Gerais, Brazil. It discusses fauna, vegetation and weather conditions at Chapada do Abanado, bat sampling in three different habitats at the subject area and estimates of species of bat families including Desmodus rotundus, Carollia perspicillata and Anoura geoffroyi. It examines the role of mountain elevation in diversity and capture success of bat species.
