Examines the role of Antarctic topography and katabatic wind regime in the climate of the high southern latitudes. Occurrence of katabatic winds; Use of three-year seasonal cycle numerical simulations in the exploration of the role of elevated terrain and drainage flows on the distribution and evolution of the horizontal pressure field.
