Abstract
- The article discusses the development of more efficient ammunition in terms of volume and weight. The Lightweight Small Arms Technologies (LSAT) programme is in charge of the light-weight ammunition development, external ballistics improvement, and cased telescoped technology scale reduction to about 30%. Other companies in small-calibre ammunition production are Scandinavia's Nammo, Switzerland's Ruag Ammotec, and Metallwerk Elisenhütte GmbH (MEN) of Germany.
