Abstract

In this article the author focuses on indigenous peoples and mutilevel governance in Canada and the U.S. The author states that Canada and the U.S. are highly resistant to indigenous claims. The author further discusses compact-based governance in the U.S., status of indigenous governments in the Canadian federation and development of new governance regimes.
