Abstract
- The article offers the author's view regarding the two-founding thesis of U.S. by French politician Alexis de Tocqueville. The author states that the two interpretations of the U.S. founding are different. The author notes that Tocqueville sketch his own narrative with the aim of modifying or replacing the existing one. The author mentions that he sought to replace the theoretical foundation preferred by modern philosophers with foundation in Customary History.
