Party Manifestos as a Basis of Citizens' Left-Right Perceptions.

The article focuses on the study which discussed left-right perceptions of citizens of policy profile of political parties in Europe. It states the perceptions of citizens of the left-right position of parties can be explained to considerable extent by manifesto content of political parties. It mentions that the left-right dimension matters for the political behavior of citizens and politicians can easily establish number of ways that do not require substantive associations and connotations.
