Abstract

Highlights: [•] Low Arctic meadow ecosystem responded to 10 years of grazing removal. [•] The effect of grazing removal were more marked at higher nutrient availability. [•] Nutrient availability shaped microarthropod community structure. [•] Soil organic matter was higher and Enchytraeidae abundance was lower in grazed areas. [•] Enzymatic activities were reduced by grazing in the nutrient rich sites. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]
