Abstract
- Highlights: [•] We calculated the costs of managing epilepsy in children and young people in the UK. [•] The direct medical costs of epilepsy were higher in the first year after diagnosis. [•] Costs of inpatient hospital admissions were the highest followed by costs of drugs. [•] Medical costs did not vary substantially by sex or socioeconomic deprivation. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]
