Abstract
- An essay is presented on exceptions to the prudential rule against third-party standing in cases involving family-owned corporations in America as of February 2014, focusing on companies that raise religious objections to an insurance mandate under the U.S. Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. Various U.S. Supreme Court cases are examined, including legal matters involving Hobby Lobby Stores Inc., Conestoga Wood Specialties Corp., and health insurance coverage for contraceptives.
