Highlights: [•] Spatial proteomics was used to monitor protein localization following MMS treatment. [•] MMS treatment affected the levels of many proteins in the chromatin-enriched fraction. [•] Proteins involved in chromatin organization were responsive to MMS treatment. [•] MMS treatment also affected components of the ubiquitin proteasome system.
