Abstract: This section offers news briefs on California's construction industry as of February 2014. Golden Gate Constructors received a contract from the San Francisco Airport commission to build phase 2 of the Runway Safety Area program at San Francisco International Airport. Design-build proposals are sought for the Mesa Court Expansion project at the University of California, Irvine. Sukut Construction Inc. will build the La Pata Avenue Gap Closure and Camino Del Rio Extension in Orange County.
