SEEKING CONSENSUS ABOUT DENTAL IMPLANTS.

The article reviews the limitations the average dental hygienist faces today while instrumenting during a typical recare appointment, besides not being able to order preferred instruments. It explores the problem of the lack of agreement by oral healthcare professionals on instrumentation around dental implants. Several articles on implant maintenance/instrumentation and a systematic review (SR) on titanium surface alterations are also cited.
