Abstract

1-inch size Ce1%:Gd_2Lu_1Al_2Ga_3O12, Gd_1Lu_2Al_2Ga_3O12, Gd_1Y_2Al1.5Ga3.5O12 and Lu_2Y_1Al_2Ga_3O12 were grown by the Czhocralski (Cz) method. The EPMA techniques is employed to check their chemical composition. Luminescence and scintillation properties were also evaluated. The Ce1%:Gd_1Y_2Al_2Ga_3O12 sample showed the highest light yield of around 40\thinspace000 photon/MeV. The scintillation decay time was 46.6 ns(63%) and 157 ns(37%). [ABSTRACT FROM PUBLISHER]
