The name game.

The article considers the introduction and sale of over 1000 new generic top-level domain names (GTLD), the part of an Internet domain name following the period, by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names & Numbers (ICANN). The introduction of GLTDs in alphabets other than Latin such as Arabic, Chinese and Russian is noted. Purchases of new GTLDs by corporations including Apple Inc., Ford Motor Co. and Amazon.com are examined.
