MUNDO RURAL E ERA VARGAS: DIREITOS, PAPEL DO CAMPO E LEGISLAÇÃO SOCIAL NA HISTORIOGRAFIA RECENTE.

This paper is devoted to relativize the tradicional historiographical interpretations, using the latest academic research who have sought help in understanding the role of the rural world and the peasants during the Vargas Era (1930- 1945). The laws for the rural were incorporated into the larger project for the nation, which is verified by analyzing the legislative process and investment in its disclosure by the means of mass media like radio and newspapers. The analysis focuses on the research about two plantation regions - Southeast coffee with the system of "colonato" and the Northeast sugarcane with the system of "morada". [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
