Abstract

Highlights: [•] DETA depressed xanthate-induced Cu-activated pyrite (Py) at pH 10 (p80=38μm). [•] Pyrite depression is enhanced when aeration and DETA are used in combination. [•] Depression of Py was due to complexation of Cu in solution or its adsorbed state. [•] Formation of Cu(I)–DETA complex on pyrite surface increased surface Cu oxidation. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]
