Abstract: The article summarizes some of the developments in containment systems for protection from toxic substances. Information on the manufacturing and analysis of cytotoxic Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) is provided. An update on mobile cleanroom containment pod systems, workstations, downflow booths, laminar flow benches and dust containment introduced by various companies like Howorth Air Ttechnology, Flextraction and SWECO is presented.
