Abstract

The structure, composition and set of properties of specimens and components, and some parameters of the process of production of a promising FML class of metallic polymers based on sheets of high-modulus ( E ~ 79 GPa) alloy 1441 with reduced density ( d ~2.6 g/cm) and an optimized glued prepreg reinforced with fibers of high-strength high-modulus VMPglass are described. Results of fire and fatigue tests of a promising 1441-SIAL structural laminate are presented. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
