Abstract

The article repots developments in the 4-methylcyclohexane methanol (MCHM) chemical spill case that shut down drinking-water supply for 300,000 individuals in Charleston, West Virginia for five days in January 2014. On January 13, 2014, the West Virginia American Water Co. treatment facility was cleared to resume water supply to residents in the area. The chemical spill came from a site owned by Freedom Industries Inc.
