Abstract

Highlights: [•] A novel fluorescent derivatizing agent 2-hydroxy-1-naphthaldehyde (HN) is developed. [•] A new HPLC–FLD method for the determination of the derivatized metabolites of NF in shrimp is developed. [•] Sample cleanup is achieved using LLE without the adjustment of the pH and further SPE.
