Abstract
- Highlights: [•] CRFs are calculated to determine the reduction of crash index (crashes/mile) and injury severity levels of each group. [•] When the deceleration lane lengths are less than 400ft, the crash frequency decreases with the increment of the distance. [•] When the deceleration lanes are longer than 700ft, the crash frequency increases with the increment of the length. [•] For the one-lane exit, the minimum deceleration lengths are 500ft for the design speed of 55mph, and 700ft for 70mph. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
