Principles and operation of a new type of electron spectrometer – ArTOF.

Highlights: [•] We describe new angle and time resolving electron analyzer with outstanding performance. [•] The transmission is more than 250 times higher compare to conventional hemispherical analyzer, no loss of energy resolution, time resolved studies are possible. [•] Details of operation modes and handling are discussed. [•] Review of studies performed is given as also an outlook of future possibilities. [•] Examples of new applications are discussed.
