Adult Initiation: An Unfolding Process, an Unfinished Implementation.

The article explores the process of the implementation of the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults. It states the unity of the celebration of the sacraments of baptism, confirmation and the Eucharist and the catechumenate outlined in Ad Gentes. The contributions of teacher Christiane Brusselmans and Reverend James B. Dunning to the practice and understanding of the rite of initiation are highlighted. The causes for the decreased time and energy of Church leaders to adult formation are cited.
