Abstract

The article focuses on the first records of ergasilus cerastes cage-reared icalurus from northeast Mexico. Ergasilus cerastes were recorded for the first time from District of Columbia where it was collected from a catfish sold at the Maine Avenue fish market. Ergasilus cerastes was now obtained from the gills of Ictalurus punctatus, which was cage-reared in five dams-lakes and a river in the state of Tamaulipas.
