The first examples of silicon compoundsof 1,1-bis(pyrrol-2-yl)etheneshave been synthesized via salt metathesis from a 2-fold lithiateddipyrromethene and different diorganodichlorosilanes (i.e., dimethyldichlorosilane,diphenyldichlorosilane, and 1,1-dichlorosilacyclobutane).
