Solution structure of CEH-37 homeodomain of the nematode Caenorhabditis elegans.

Highlights: [•] We have determined solution structures of CEH-37 homedomain. [•] CEH-37 HD has a compact α-helical structure with HTH DNA binding motif. [•] Solution structure of CEH-37 HD shares its molecular topology with that of the homeodomain proteins. [•] Residues in the N-terminal region and HTH motif are important in binding to Caenorhabditis elegans telomeric DNA. [•] CEH-37 could play an important role in telomere function via DNA binding.
