Highlights: [•] Eag1 K+ channels blockade in the dentate gyrus of the hippocampus did not modify apomorphine-disruptive effects in the PPI. [•] Dentate gyrus surgery inducing decreased startle response was restored by the Eag1 antibody. [•] The role of Eag1 K+ channels in the startle response merits further investigation.
