Abstract

We present the first described case of an accessory pathway ablation, requiring a transseptal puncture, performed on ECMO for tachycardia-induced cardiomyopathy in the context of cardiogenic shock. The performance of a transseptal puncture in such a scenario is a feasible option and should be considered if the clinical situation dictates, despite the inherent risks. After ablation of the left lateral pathway the patient was successfully weaned off ECMO and made a complete recovery. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
