Abstract
- Highlights: [•] The different pathways involved in the SRIF- and GHRH-induced effects on GH release were compared in teleosts. [•] The PLC/IP/PKC pathway mediates the SRIF- but not the GHRH-induced effects on GH release. [•] The AC/cAMP/PKA pathway is involved in both the SRIF- and the GHRH-induced regulation of GH release. [•] The NOS/NO pathway mediates the GHRH- but not the SRIF-induced effects on GH release. [•] The sGC/cGMP pathway is not involved in the SRIF- or GHRH-induced regulation of GH release.
