Discussion: Index and strength properties of clay-gravel mixtures.

The article presents response to a research conducted by Benjamin S. Kyambadde and colleagues regarding influence of gravel on strength and index properties of a clay soil. It informs that shear strengths of the clay–gravel mixtures remain unaffected when the gravel content is less than 45 percent and comments on greater variation in penetration depths in clay-gravel mixture. It also presents response from the authors of the discussed article.
