Abstract: The article offers updates about journalism education in the U.S. as of 2013. Topics discussed include the emergence of a debate on the need to use drones in journalism, the 2013 Global Editors Network (GEN) News Summer in Paris, France, and the International Association for Media and Communication Research's conference in Dublin, Ireland. Also provided is information regarding the mass communication courses and massive open online courses (MOOCs) offered by several universities in the country.
