Abstract
- The authors discuss the effect of child abuse on same-sex sexual orientation in response to a commentary about their article about the use of childhood adversity as a determinant of same-sex sexual attraction, partners and identity. They conducted simulations to test the hypothesis that a genetic factor predicts parental difficultues such as divorce, mental illness, poverty and drug use. They emphasize the impact of childhood adversities as non-normative controls.
