El Jardín de las Nobles Doncellas -the Garden of Noble Maidens-, is a book written by the Augustinian monk Martín de Córdoba for the future queen Isabel la Católica. It is a unique mirror of princesses that contains important elements of moral theology. This paper studies this book under four headings; general moral theology, political ethics, family ethics and the relation of this book's theology to the Augustinian tradition. El Jardín is a book that is especially relevant for the understanding of XV century's pro-women moral theology.
