Abstract

Highlights: [•] The approximately noon-to-midnight electric field is present at an L-range: 3.5–10. [•] The average electric field pointing ranges between 12° and 32° towards dawn. [•] The time variation of the electric field properties may suggest seasonal control. [•] The pointing is stable on average, but has large variability on short time scales. [•] It is possible that the electric field exhibits a cyclic variation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
