Abstract
- Highlights: [•] Evaporation, temperature, and heat content for a covered solar pond were monitored. [•] Floating discs decrease evaporation and increase temperature and heat content. [•] Reduced evaporation enables operation where water supply is limited. [•] Increased heat content significantly improves solar pond thermal efficiencies.
