Abstract
- The article examines the efforts of U.S. retailer Target, led by Chief Executive Gregg W. Steinhafel, to satisfy customers upset over the 2013 theft of credit and debit card information from over 40 million customers. Details are provided on an apology issued by Steinhafel as well as promises to offer in-store discounts and credit monitoring services to those affected. Possible revenue losses as a result of the incident are examined.
