Abstract

The infrared reflectance spectra of α-ET2KHg(SCN)4 in applied magnetic fields up to 9.8 T are reported. A dip structure appears in the reflectance spectra around 1000 cm−1 below 10 K at <F>B=0</F> T. This structure is associated with the density-wave formation in this salt. Under a magnetic field above 4 T, this dip structure disappears. A phase transition at a low magnetic field less than 4 T is suggested. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]
