Abstract
- Presents information of interest to readers of the periodical "Labor History." Information that on April 2-4,1993, there will be conference honoring civil rights leader Martin Luther King, Jr., on the 25th anniversary of his death in the city where he was assassinated; Invitation of the conference organizers for brief papers, with presenters offering focused presentations in two broad subject areas: the analysis of Movement models and of positive and negative outcomes in the past 25 years, and the analysis of strategies and scenarios for change in the present and future; Statement that the State Historical Society of Wisconsin and the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wisconsin are co-sponsoring an interdisciplinary scholarly conference, "Toward a New History of the 1960s," that will meet in Madison from April 28 to May 1,1993; Announcement that the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission is initiating a scholars-in-residence program, beginning in May 1993, to promote the interpretation of Pennsylvania history, to encourage research drawing upon the Commission's documentary and material resources, and to develop relationships between scholars and Commission staff.
