Abstract
- The article discusses Ohio State University's (OSU) strategic approach to investing for the university's operating cash balance. The approach involves a three-layer investment portfolio wherein funds are allocated to liquid, short-term, and intermediate maturities. The process allowed OSU to consider its cash portfolio and analyze its liquidity needs. Members of the investment committee formed include university treasurer Michael Papadakis and director of treasury and debt Jeff Rayis.
