Estilos de afrontamiento en un paciente joven con virus de inmunodeficiencia humana/sida.

The case report of a 26 year-old young man with the human immunodeficiency virus/aids, who shows negative attitude towards life, inadequate lifestyles and difficulties with the therapeutic adhesion, assisted by the members of a health team from "28 de Septiembre" University Polyclinic in Santiago de Cuba is presented. The confrontation style was analyzed when facing the disease, for which the in-depth interview and the content analysis were used. The results indicated a passive confrontation which is noticed in a relatively stable way, related to prejudices, attitudes, beliefs and dependent personality. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
