LIFE IN BALANCE.

The article discusses how audiologists can help keep old patients active and upright by assessing the patients' risk of falling and offering advice to reduce likelihood of falls inside and outside the home. Particular focus is given to the case of a 72-year-old woman Mrs. G. who had developed a fear of falling after she suffered from an accident in her home. It explains different fall risk factors and how audiologists can incorporate fall prevention in their discussions with patients.
