Pegylated Interferon With or Without Ribavirin for Patients With Hepatitis C Receiving Hemodialysis.

The article reports on a study to examine the efficacy of ribavirin to pegylated interferon-alpha2a therapy in case of patients with hepatitis C virus genotype 1 receiving hemodialysis. The study was carried on patients with chronic hepatitis C who were receiving hemodialysis for end-stage renal disease in Taiwan. The study found that patients who received low-dose ribavirin and pegylated interferon-alpha2a were found conquering of their hepatitis C infection.
