Abstract
- The article discusses bed-and-breakfast (B&B) inns acquired by investors in the U.S. and refurbished into accommodations aimed at a relatively affluent clientele. Karen and Dan Lynch spent $2.1 million buying and remodeling a B&B in Napa, California that costs up to $425 per night. Rooms at the Camden Harbour Inn in Maine, owned and renovated by Raymond Brunyanszki and Oscar Verest, cost about $1,500 per evening. Details are presented about the amenities at these and other B&Bs.
